The constitution was passed on 26th January 1950. Since then Republic Day is celebrated in India every year on this day.

 

Its constitution was found on 26 January the year 1950, about two and a half years after the independence of the country. Let us tell you that in early 1948, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar presented the outline of the constitution for the first time in the Constituent Assembly. However, after some amendments, it was adopted in November 1949 and the Constitution was passed on 26 January 1950. Since then, Republic Day is celebrated in India on this day every year. This year the country is going to celebrate its 72nd Republic Day. Explain that the Constitution of India is said to be the largest written constitution in the world.

 

Let it be said that after the implementation of the constitution, its makers had the idea that this special occasion should be celebrated on some occasion which is already related to national pride. Everyone together decided that Republic Day should be celebrated only on 26 January. Explain that on this day in 1930, the Indian National Congress declared India as a complete Swaraj.

 

On Republic Day, one of the national festivals of the country, the countrymen remember freedom fighters and brave warriors. Every year on this day, the President hoists the tricolor flag and a 21-gun salute is given. A national holiday is declared on Republic Day in the country. However, many schools and institutes also organize colorful programs on this day.

 

On this special occasion grand parade and tableaux are organized at Delhi's Rajpath. It concludes on January 29 with Beating the Retreat Ceremony. It consists of bands of Indian water, land, and air force.

 

The ceremony is celebrated near Rashtrapati Bhavan where the President of India himself sits as the chief guest. The chief of the three army troops salutes him on this day.
