Kings XI Punjab veteran batsman Chris Gayle once again did not get a place in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chris Gayle did not find a place in the team despite Glenn Maxwell being a frequent flop. Although Chris Gayle was going to be a part of the playing eleven in the match on Thursday, he could not play due to stomach ache. This was revealed by the team's head coach Anil Kumble.
During the match, Anil Kumble said that Chris Gayle fell victim to food poisoning and that is why he could not take part in this match.

Earlier, team opener Mayank Agarwal had said that despite being not part of the playing eleven, Chris Gayle was helping the team players and sharing their experiences with them. They said,

"Chris Gayle is an important part of the Kings XI Punjab team, whether he is playing or mentoring. We are talking the most and sharing our experiences in the batsmen's meetings. His tips are very important to us. I had a great conversation with Chris Gayle. We have played with each other in RCB before and it is great to see them playing and then interacting with them."

Let me tell you that Chris Gayle has not got a chance to play in any match yet. If Chris Gayle is included in the playing XI, he can score very fast in the beginning. This will reduce the pressure on KL Rahul a lot and he can stand up till the end and make the innings.
Kings XI Punjab continues their series of losses in the IPL. He suffered a loss in another match played on Thursday. The Sunrisers Hyderabad team defeated Kings XI Punjab by 69 runs.
