Wellington, PTI. Pakistan's team is currently on a tour of New Zealand. New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhom has been injured before landing in the Test series against Pakistan. He has been ruled out of the Test series against Pakistan since December 26 due to his leg injury. This has been confirmed by Gary Stead, the head coach of the New Zealand cricket team.

Stead said, Grandhomme has a right leg problem and is still unable to run. He said that he is still not able to run fully nor bowling. He is expected to be back by mid-January.

Grandmom also failed to take part in the two-match Test series played against the West Indies and was replaced by Darryl Mitchell. Meanwhile, New Zealand team captain Ken Williamson was also scheduled to join the team before the second T20 match against Pakistan but everything depends on when their first child is going to be born.

Steed said, so far there has been no news about the birth of his child, so there is no update on his return. It is still the plan that he will join the team for the second and third T20 against Pakistan.

The first three matches of the T20 series will be played between the two teams, followed by two Tests. On 18, 20, and 22 December, the team of New Zealand will play the T20 series against Pakistan. The first Test match will be played between 26 to 30 December followed by the second match from 3 to 7 January.
